Description

Biodance Refreshing Sea Kelp Serum — a soothing and sebum-regulating serum for oily, combination, sensitive and blemish-prone skin prone to breakouts. The product helps reduce excess sebum, maintains the skin’s optimal oil-water balance, soothes irritation, and helps improve uneven texture.

The key component of the formula is 86.45% Lactobacillus/Kelp Ferment Filtrate, a filtrate of twice-fermented seaweed. BIODANCE uses it in the Sea Kelp line for soothing care and restoring balance in problem skin. According to the manufacturer, fermented Sea Kelp showed a 5x more pronounced soothing effect in laboratory testing compared to centella.

The high content of fermented seaweed is complemented by sea water and a seaweed complex — Laminaria Digitata, Jania Rubens, Kjellmaniella Gyrata, Laminaria Japonica, and Spirulina Platensis. They provide the skin with minerals and enhance the formula’s soothing and balancing effects.

Niacinamide is in fourth place in the ingredient list and helps regulate sebum production, support the protective barrier, and improve overall skin tone. Glycerin, xylitol, erythritol, and Saccharide Isomerate help maintain hydration, so the serum controls oiliness without focusing on over-drying the skin.

According to BIODANCE clinical testing, after just 3 days of use there was a reduction in sebum amount by 80.04%, an improvement in hydration by 22.01%, and in the condition of the skin barrier by 18.29%. The manufacturer also reports improved texture and the appearance of post-acne marks.

How to use: after cleansing and/or toner, apply 2–3 pumps of serum to the face and gently spread until fully absorbed. For extra hydration, BIODANCE recommends applying 1–2 more layers.
